Hiroaki Yamashita, the photographer members of the IEPA, International Environment Photographers Association.

Born in Kagoshima, Japan in 1955. Since his early age, he enjoyed walking in the woods and mountains. When he was in university, he started taking photographs of Yakushima and moved there in 1992. Numbers of his works have been published in magazines including "Ginaka," and they were used for cooperate calendars. Also published many photobooks such as "Ki yo - Yakushima no yutakana inochi," "Jikan no mori - Yakushima," "Mori no naka no tiisana tent," "Mizu no kajitsu  mou hitotsu no oze he," and many others.
