Oriol Alamany
Born in Barcelona in 1958, Oriol Alamany is one of Spain's most respected nature and travel photographers. He studied Biology and Graphic Design and since 1980 works as a freelance
photographer. His photographic work and his writings have been published in hundreds of books and articles in magazines like National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, Lonely Planet, GEO, Altaïr, Terre Sauvage, Pyrenees Magazine or Naturfoto among many other. He is the author of nine books and "Fotografiar la naturaleza" was responsible for a whole new generation of nature photographers in Spain, educating them through the respect to the subject and the environment.
He was a founder and member of the Board of AEFONA (Spanish Association of Nature Photographers), founder and vice-president of DEPANA nature conservation NGO and member of Aigüestortes National Park Board.
From 1985 he made a lasting work of divulgation of nature and photography in his country through lectures, courses, workshops and articles, having also participated in many radio and TV programs.
