Ly Hoang Long
Born in 1965 in Dalat city, Viet Nam. Since his childhood, he was fascinated by colors and images, then he began his first carrier as a graphic designer. His life was smooth until 1993, until he saw his friend's photograph which inspired him that he could paint with light by a camera. Then he bought his first Single-Lens Reflex camera and started shooing photographs. Year by year, he started to think about switching his carrier from a designer to a professional photographer, not just a hobbyist. He has been working as a freelance photographer. He has won numbers of awards including FIAP gold medal (Photo Travel - Digital) in The 63rd Bristol Int. Salon of Photography in UK, PSA gold medal (Photojournalism Digital) in 2008 PSA International Exhibition of Photography in USA, and Asahi Shinbun medal in The 65th International Photographic Salon of Japan. He portraits his philosophy as, "For me, my life always looks better through the view finder, so just press the release button and let the images tell stories."
