Title: Cement Works in the mist

The Hope Valley Cement Works is an industrial factory set amongst the rolling hills of the Hope Valley, Peak District National Park, England.

The image was taken from the summit of "Mam Tor" before sunrise after a cloud inversion had covered the entire valley below. The factory building was built before the formation of the national park in 1953 - one would like to think that such a monstrosity would not have permission to be built today.

The Peak District National Park is a working landscape where people, farming and wildlife co-exist. Visited by an estimated 21 million visits a year it's the world's second most visited national park after Mt. Fuji, Japan.
