Title: The Enchantments

One of the most beautiful locations that I have had the pleasure to photograph. Alpine Larch in fall colour surrounded by sparkling lakes and massive granite peaks. The Enchantments is well worth the 12mile hike and 5000 foot elevation gain. In this image I have isolated a Larch tree against a small lake. The back lit sun worked great with the yellow needles of the Larch while the lake itself was in deep shade only capturing the blue ambient light of the sky above. A great contrast in light and colour.
